demonstration home that pushes the limits on sustainable design. The Zero Energy Idea House, located high above the shores of Lake Sammamish, uses a long list of green techniques and products to reach its zero-energy goal. Triad Associates surveyors and landscape architects are helping with the project. Triad s surveyors roped up to perform control, monitoring and construction surveys on the steep site, while Triad s landscape architects designed the vegetated roof and rainwater harvesting system. The 1000-square foot green roof consists of 2x4 trays filled with growing medium and plants selected especially for the location and conditions.
