Renton, Washington <br /> <br /> <b>Project Description: </b> <br /> In June of 2003, King County enacted the Built Green/Low Impact Development Demonstration Ordinance. The county had three goals: to change building practices in ways that reduce environmental impacts, to use resources in a more sustainable way, and to provide more healthy living spaces. The ordinance authorized three experimental development projects featuring innovative stormwater management practices, in combination with affordable, environmentally-friendly housing. Triad provided our full range of consulting services to one of these projects  Shamrock Heights. Approximately 25 acres of the 34.5-acre site were developed with the remainder of the site left as protected wetlands, associated buffers, open space and parks.
