Project Description:
Triad completed an analysis of employment and population capacity for the City
of Lake Stevens Urban Growth Area.
This project involved reviewing inventory work completed by the County,
determining appropriate densities and critical area buffer assumptions to use
based on city and county codes and infrastructure availability, and calculating
residential and employment capacity using GIS. Triad produced the text, tables
and maps for the Buildable Lands Report, presented it to the City Council in a
work session and worked with City staff to present the complex analysis in a
format that could be easily understood by City Council and the public.
