Project Description:
Participating in the City of Kirkland's Innovative Housing Demonstration Project, the Cottage Company used the opportunity to incorporate green building techniques into this sustainable "pocket neighborhood." Triad helped them achieve this goal by designing low-impact stormwater management techniques on the site. Our project team also used gardens and courtyards to create small community spaces and flanked walkways with perennial beds to add to this peaceful setting. For their work on this project, Triad's landscape architecture design team won the 2008 WASLA Merit Award for Residential Design.
