Project Description:
From 1890 to 1985, Asarco Smelter deposited an estimated 15 million tons of
contaminated molten slag on the property and in Commencement Bay. Beginning in
1999, Triad Associates provided survey services for the remediation work done at
this 67-acre former copper smelter location designated an EPA Superfund site.
Services provided included GPS and topographic surveys, hazardous material
mapping, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
